Subject: Bedminster pool report No. 1 // Sanders gaggle

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders gaggled with the pool at the Bridgewater Marriott at 10:40 a.m.

Highlights:

President Trump will eat lunch with Vice President Pence today, followed by a security briefing with the vice president, National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster and Chief of Staff John Kelly. There will be a pool spray at the bottom, probably in the 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. timeframe. There will be no pool spray at the bottom.

On Wednesday, the president signed 50 commissions, 30 letters and “a half dozen” decision memos. The commissions and letters sounded routine; details on the decision memos will come later today.

On the Pence lunch: “The vice president is getting ready to leave the country. They meet regularly. It’s not out of the ordinary.”

On the president’s relationship with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell: “You can see the president’s tweets. Obviously there’s some frustration. I don’t have anything more to add.”

On North Korea: “Certainly nothing has changed in the president’s thinking. He’s made clear how he feels on that front.”

On whether the president is playing golf this morning: “Not sure.”

On consultations with the Pentagon on North Korea: “I know that Gen. Kelly has been in constant contact with the national security team.”
