Subject: FLOTUS pool report #2
FLOTUS, dressed in a white suit, and Mrs. Netanyahu, in a pink knee-length coat over a pink dress, arrived in the room at 2:45 p.m. They were being given a tour by the Secretary of the Smithsonian, David Skorton, and Lonnie Bunch, founding director of the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture.
They stopped in front of a statue of Thomas Jefferson, and an exhibit entitled, "The Paradox of Liberty."
Pool was ushered out of the room at 2:48 p.m. and could not hear Bunch, who was giving the tour. But FLOTUS and Mrs. Netanyahu nodded as he spoke.
At 2:57 p.m., FLOTUS and Mrs. Netanyahu arrived at the next stop of the tour, and sat down at an interactive video exhibit about the Greensboro lunch counter. The exhibit allows visitors to tap a screen to "look in depth at some of the places, people and actions that were key to the impact of the modern Civil Rights Movement on American society."
Pool is now holding ahead of the next stop, and near an exhibit on President Barack Obama.
