Buenos Aires Pool report 2
The United States Second Lady Jill Biden visited a school in the outskirts of Buenos Aires City alongside Argentina’s First Lady Juliana Awada and Argentina’s Social Development Ministry Carolina Stanley.
After meeting at the presidential residence, Dr. Biden and Awada arrived at the school and were welcomed by Stanley, who was waiting for them at the entrance. The three of them posed for photographs and then entered the school, visiting three different classrooms in about half an hour.
At the first classroom, they were greeted by a group of about 20 one and two-year-old kids. Stanley introduced Awada and Dr. Biden to them and then the three of them served lunch to the kids.
Right after, they visited another classroom with about 10 three-year-old kids and read a story to them. Dr. Biden read in English and Awada translated into Spanish. Finally, Dr. Biden, Awada and Stanley visited a third classroom, where they played for a couple of minutes with a group of about 10 three-year-old kids.
The US Second Lady agenda will continue in the afternoon, addressing an audience of educators on community colleges in the US. She will also visit Argentina’s Education Ministry, where she will sign a bilateral deal on education between the United States and Argentina.
