The First Lady travelled to Camp GLOW (Girls Leading Our World) in Kakata, a rural community in Liberia. The purpose of the camp is to encourage women to be active citizens through developing their self esteem and leadership capacities. She spoke to girls about the importance of women's leadership and access to education.
"I want you to keep fighting and stay in school," she told the girls.
"I'm here to shine a big bright light on you," she said.
