Second day of the G7 summit at Schloss Elmau got started under a cloudy skies.

At 9:10, pool was escorted into a room with a large round table in the middle set for a meeting on energy and climate.

The leaders of the G7 + the two european leaders (Jean-Claude Juncker and Donald Tusk) entered the room talking to each other.

President Obama was trying to explain something to Prime Minister Stephen Harper and EU commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker.

All the leaders then took theirs seats.

President Obama sat between PM Harper to his right and Chancellor Merkel to his left. He then started talking to Chancellor Merkel. Pooler could not hear the conversation.

French President François Hollande, all smiles, spoke in French with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi. PM Renzi then translated the conversation in English for president Obama.

President Obama turned around and smiled to the photographers, then said  "Thank you" as the pool was being ushered out.
