On an overcast day, we are rolling at 11:12am and headed a few blocks away to the Warner Theatre where POTUS is slated to deliver remarks at an investiture ceremony for Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

The whole ceremony is expected to last 30 minutes, with remarks from POTUS as well as Lynch.

Those remarks are open for pooled TV coverage and will also be streamed live for anyone wishing to follow (>https://www.whitehouse.gov/live/president-obama-speaks-investiture-ceremony-attorney-general-loretta-lynch<)

As we loaded the vans, work was underway on the South Lawn for this evening's Congressional picnic. Large grills were out, as were tables and chairs, and what looks to be the early makings of a buffet line. A woman with "balloon crew" written on the back of her shirt was making sure the red, white, and blue balloons were positioned just right.

From several tents, old 45 records (with "Congressional Picnic 2015" stamped on them) were dangling from strings as decoration. A stage is set up with a large U.S. Flag behind it.
