Subject: In-town pool report #2 - chiefs of staff camera only spray

The White House offered a cameras-only spray of the chiefs of staff meeting, although the WHCA pushed for a full pool spray. The following is courtesy of video shared with your print pooler by CBS.

Seated at the center of the table and wearing a flag pin, Reince Priebus sat between Sam Skinner (former chief of staff of George W. Bush) and Rahm Emanuel (Obama). He appeared to be the only one with a binder in front of him. He was seated opposite John Podesta (Clinton) and Denis McDonough.

He smiled for the cameras and said "Thank you for having me. It's great."

He didn't respond when pool asked how it felt to be in the White House. McDonough jumped in "It feels good to have him here," before cameras were led out.

Attendees included:

Jack Lew (Obama)

Bill Daley (Obama)

Pete Rouse (Obama)

Rahm Emanuel (Obama)

Josh Bolten (George W. Bush)

Andy Card (George W. Bush)

John Podesta (Clinton)

Samuel Skinner (George H. W. Bush)

Ken Duberstein (Reagan)

Jack Watson (Carter)

On background from WH official: "As part of the President's directive for a smooth transition to the next administration, White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough has invited incoming Chief of Staff Reince Priebus to have lunch with him and other former Chiefs of Staff here at the White House on Friday.  This meeting is similar to one hosted in 2008 by then White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten to welcome incoming Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.
