Subject: In town pool report #3
Crowd count for Attorney General Loretta Lynch's installation ceremony is 1,333 (via Evie Sassok, DOJ Assistant Director of Logistics)
Seated on stage: Lynch's mother (Lorine), father (Lorenzo), and husband (Steve), as well as Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor and, when he wasn't speaking, POTUS.
A sign language interpreter stood on the right side of the stage. FBI director James Comey is among those in the audience.
Lynch was sworn in by Sonia Sotomayor, with her husband holding the Bible and her parents and POTUS around her. Many in the audience marked the moment by taking photos with their phones or iPads.
Prior to the swearing in, POTUS went through Lynch's biography, and noted "She's already made her mark here and abroad."
When FBI agents showed up for a routine background check, her parent pulled out a bunch of scrapbooks to show them.
"She probably wasn't a threat because if she were her parents would have documented it in some way," POTUS said to laughter.
At 11:45pm, pool was escorted out of the ceremony, past a group of bagpipers who were about to enter.
