Subject: In town pool report #3

The president emerged from his meeting with Senate Democrats around 11:10. He wasn't eager to take questions from the press. Among the shouted queries: "Mr. President, do you wish you had worked more closely with Republicans on Obamacare?"
The president didn't answer any of the shouted queries.
"I want to take a picture with the Senate Pages," he said. "They are the next generation.
He turned to the assembled young people. "All right let's get a good one," he said.
His motorcade began rolling at 11:17 am past  bleachers for his successor's inaugural. Bunches of people lined the route taking pictures. One older African American man was saluting.
The motorcade pulled back into the White House at 11:22 am.
