Today, President Obama will deliver remarks marking the fifth anniversary of the Affordable Care Act and highlight how the health care law is improving health care quality and lowering costs. The President will join Secretary Burwell and health care leaders in kicking off the Health Care Payment Learning and Action Network, which aims to bring public and private sector actors together to build on the Affordable Care Act's efforts to improve the quality of care that patients receive. The President will be introduced by Dr. Nancy Beran, a board certified internist who focuses on the health of women.


Dr. Nancy Beran is a board certified internist who focuses on the health of women. In her clinical practice, she utilizes a patient-centered approach to provide excellent preventative care, management of chronic illnesses and acute care to her patients. Dr. Beran advocates for her patients and for quality medical care. She has a history of leadership, serving as a Chief Resident in Primary Care after residency and now as the Chief Medical Officer of Westchester Health. She received her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and completed her residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.  She has been in practice for 19 years. Her top priority has always been, and will always remain, caring for her patients with compassion.
