Subject: In town travel pool report #2 - arrival at ritz

POTUS arrived at the Ritz at 4:38 pm eastern after a short and uneventful motorcade. Your pool was led into a small ballroom with a podium in front of a blue velvet curtain and six American flags. There are two large screens with the following words: "Organizing for Action Spring Summit"

The first set of remarks are open press. Look for remarks from the WH later tonight.

(Another set of remarks at a dinner following this will be pool only and I will be pooling that)

Here is some background from OFA on the people who are introducing POTUS at the events:

First event:

Jose Del Rio is from California and was a Spring 2014 OFA fellow. He graduated in 2013 from UC Irvine, and plans to attend law school in the near future. He is currently a National Lead working on OFA’s Fulfilling the Promise initiative, OFA’s effort to reach and enfranchise low-income communities. The son of immigrants, he is especially committed to advocating for comprehensive immigration reform and enfranchising underrepresented communities.

Second event:

Jennifer Contreras is from Nogales, Arizona, and currently attends the University of Arizona. She was an Economics major as a freshman, but switched to Political Science after getting involved with OFA and plans to launch a career in the progressive movement when she graduates. Her first involvement was as a Spring 2014 Fellow, and she is now assisting with bilingual organizing work during the Spring 2015 Fellowship.
