Subject: Pool 14 -- The Wait. The uncertainty.

President Obama is still meeting his Russian counterpart in the UN
Security Council's Consultations Room.

The meeting was scheduled to last for an hour, and your poolers were
hustled into vans shortly before 6 pm. But we have idled outside for
some 50 minutes waiting for the president to emerge while White House
officials said they could not confirm that the meeting had ended yet.

No word yet on how the two leaders are spending their time or whether
the delay suggests some sort of breakthrough.

From here, President Obama is scheduled to take a quick ride in the
beast back to the Lotte New York Palace where Mr. Obama will host at
7:30 pm the traditional reception for world leaders.
