Pres Obama walked into the auditorium here at roughly 4:08 pm, after five representatives of tribal nations. One of them (from the Mohawk Nation) is wearing a beautiful head-dress with dark feathers and low moccasins, another wearing what look like moccasin boots. One spectacular full feathered head-dress with light feathers in the audience.
Obama had a brief hot mic moment, wondering whether he needed to make remarks. He walked to the podium and offered a riff on his I-have-grey-hair riff. He said that, as a candidate, he had come to them as "a young adopted son of the Crow Nation" but was now "President Barack Black Eagle."
More quotes tk but he made a comment you may want now: We have to "break sterotypes. I believe that includes our sports teams."
Pool lost eyes on Pres Obama's limo shortly before we reached the Ronald Reagan building at 3:58 pm. He went one way, we went the other.
We are now in a large auditorium.
