Pool Report 2
An Obama-Xi stroll across Pennsylvania Avenue.
President Obama and President Xi walked to Blair House at 7:31 p.m. without incident.
The two leaders -- both in dark suits, no ties -- appeared to be chatting amiably as they ambled toward dinner.
Minutes earlier, Obama greeted Xi after his motorcade rolled up to the West Wing entrance.
As the Chinese leader exited his vehicle, POTUS smiled and said 'ni hao,' Chinese for hello.
(The pool thanks Andrew Beatty of AFP for his assistance.)
Pool was assembled at 7:08 p.m., and escorted to a holding pen at the corner of Lafayette Square and Jackson Place.
Among the sightings:
John Kerry exited the Executive Avenue gate and walked to Blair.
Susan Rice took the same route.
A small motorcade slow-rolled across Pennsylvania Avenue and dropped off Vice President at Blair House.
At 7:26 p.m., Xi's motorcade came down Jackson Place and entered the Northwest Gate.
Five minutes later, Obama and Xi came back through the Northwest Gate.
