POTUS opened remarks at 11:58 a.m. with joke about being about 40 minutes late: "Even presidents have problems with toner."
In open press event, POTUS made a lengthy case for the Iran nuclear deal to a mostly quiet crowd at American University. He got applause when he said to critics who have repeatedly called it a "bad deal" -- walk away from this deal and you will get a better deal -- for Iran.
After nearly 56-minute speech, POTUS quickly departed stage. Motorcade rolling at 1 p.m. and back at White House at 1:12 p.m. in unremarkable trip.
