Subject: Pool Report #4 - Additional hurricane resource info
Some additional resource information from President Obama’s meeting at FEMA on Hurricane Matthew.
President Obama asked U.S. citizens to keep in mind that one of the poorest countries in the world, Haiti, which is already suffering from a range of previous disasters, has been hit “really hard by this storm”
“We anticipate that they’re going to need substantial help,” Obama said.
He encouraged U.S. citizens to consider helping those “who didn’t have a lot to begin with and our now getting hammered by this storm.” Those willing could get more information by visiting the Center for International Disaster Information at CIDI.org.
For those in the United States wondering about their own preparation plans, Obama recommended visiting Ready.gov to receive clear instructions on how to make sure people are safe.
