Subject: Travel pool #2 -- arrival and some gaggle
Air Force One landed at Columbia airport at 11:51 a.m. Josh Earnest gaggled during flight. Lots of questions about Hillary Clinton's emails, not much new in the way of answers.
He indicated that President Obama learned about the situation from news reports, and said he has "no idea" when the White House counsel's office learned about her private email account. He again said all indications are that Mrs. Clinton complied with requirements in place at the time.
Earnest said he and the president were feeling nostalgic about this trip to South Carolina, the president's first in office, and that Mr. Obama will offer a preview of his Selma speech as a "seminal" moment in American history.
