Subject: travel pool #3/Nashville greeters and downpour

The president strode down the stairs trailed by Rep. Jim Cooper. With a light drizzle but dark skies, he was greeted by Karl Dean, Mayor of Nashville and Colonel Keith Allbritten, Vice Commander, 118th Wing.

The president trotted over to a pen of uniformed military and others and shook some hands. Then the skies opened. Poolers ran to our van toward the back of the motorcade and were soaked by the time we got inside.

Motorcade now rolling in a driving rain at a speed well below scary-motorcade levels.
