Subject: Travel pool 4/event at FIU

Potus and Telemundo/MSNBC host Jose Diaz-Balart held session for about an hour from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. before an audience of 268 people in a theater on the campus of Florida International University. The pool was allowed to watch but the content is embargoed until 7 p.m. Your pooler has a fairly full transcription and will send to the WH shortly but the press office instructs they will send it out at 7 p.m. when the embargo lifts as Telemundo begins its broadcast. The pool was allowed a quick photo spray at the end, as Obama stood on stage shaking hands with Diaz-Balart for the photos after the event was over. There were to chairs on the stage and a large television on the wall behind them. A camera mounted on a crane was positioned above the crowd to get shots of the event. At 5 p.m. the motorcade was en route back to the airport.
