Note John Legend at round table, listed last.

Background from a White House Official:

Today, in New York at Lehman College, the President will participate in a roundtable discussion with young people to discuss the challenges they have faced and the support that helped them get ahead – from good teachers to mentors to job training.

Following the roundtable discussion the President will deliver remarks about the importance of expanding opportunity and applaud the launch of the My Brother’s Keeper Alliance (MBKA) – a new, independent nonprofit organization aimed at eliminating opportunity and achievement gaps for boys and young men of color and help ensure all youth can reach their full potential.

Darinel Montero, Bronx International High School
Darinel Montero was raised in the Dominican Republic and moved to the United States when he was 16 years old. When Montero began school in the United States, he did not speak any English.
