Subject: Travel pool report #1 4/8/15 - Departure

Marine One touched down at Andrews AFB at 4:54 p.m. under grey skies
with a chilly wind blowing. The president, coatless, strode to the
base of the steps to Air Force One and jogged up, turning to wave
before boarding.

He was followed by national Security Adviser Susan Rice, Press
Secretary Josh Earnest, Deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic
Communications Ben Rhodes and Ricardo Zuniga of the NSC. Roberta
Jacobson of State is also on board, spotted by you pool at the gate.

At 5:02 p.m. we are rolling for takeoff, bound for Kingston, Jamaica,
Obama's first stop on his Caribbean and Latin American trip. Scheduled
flight time is 3 hours and 45 minutes.
