The motorcade left the official residence of the US ambassador at 8pm.
After a scenic drive along the Seine, we arrived at L'Ambroisie, where Potus and president Hollande will be having dinner.
The Michelin three-starred restaurant is located on the ever stunning Place des Vosges, in the Marais district.
The two presidents were facing each other on each side of a large oval table together with 12 other people (including two interpreters).
French PM Manuel Valls was seated to Potus right.
Asked what he would order for dinner, Potus answered : "I will get recommendations from the president", looking at president Hollande, all smiles.
Among the ones in attendance were John Kerry, Susan Rice, Brian Deese, Charles Kupchan, as well as Jane Hartley, US ambassador to France.
Pool is holding in a café nearby.
