Highlights from Josh Earnest gaggle :

- Election

Josh Earnest underlined that POTUS was visiting three States that he won twice when he was running for president, said he was "enthusiastic" about spending some time in States that do not have early vote.

He insisted on the symbolic nature of the rally in Philly, "the place where 240 years ago our Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence".

Asked about POTUS plans for Tuesday, he did not give any details.

- FBI/emails

Asked about the latest twist, Josh Earnest repeated word for word his statement from last week.

"I am not prepared to defend nor criticize director Comey's decision to send another letter updating Congress"

He said that the White House had "not been briefed" on this investigation and "was not informed in advance" of the latest move.

The president views on director Comey "have not changed", he added, saying "he continues to have confidence in his ability to run the FBI".

"The president is entirely confident that director Comey is not using his authority to advantage a particular political candidate or a particular political party", he added.

- Raqqa offensive

Josh Earnest emphasized that taking Raqqa was "key to destroying the myth of the caliphate"  created by ISIL
