President Obama, looking Arctic casual in a gray sweater and button-down shirt, spoke for about 20 minutes to the revved up crowd that filled the school gym here in Kotzebue.

Afterwards, the president ventured into the crowd and spent several minutes shaking hands.

The pool is now holding in the gym.
