Before leaving the tarmac, Bill Clinton came for a short discussion with the pool under a light rain.
"It was important, he was a good friend of mine", he said reflecting on the funerals.
He repeated some of what he said in his speech, that Shimon Peres always got back up after a defeat, had a big heart and a big brain.
He said an Israeli-Palestinian peace deal will happen at some point because the young people in the region will demand it.
"I'm sorry for him that it didn't happen in the formal signing and ceremony," Mr. Clinton said.
"But I think that in the end it will happen", he added.
(Thanks to co-pooler Carol Lee for her help).
Have a good week-end.
