Buenos Aires, Argentina

As President Obama's limo pulled up at the entrance to Casa Rosada a trumpet began to play. President Macri was waiting just inside the door, standing on the red carpet. Mr. Obama stepped into the foyer at 10:56am. He and Mr. Macri shook hands and smiled for the cameras. The red carpet was lined with Argentine military. Messrs. Obama and Macri immediately began talking after the handshake. POTUS was quite chatty as they walked along the red carpet. Your pooler couldn't hear a thing over the military band. The presidents turned left and walked up the red-carpeted stairs to their bilat. Some Casa Rosada staff had gathered in a courtyard to the president's left, pressing their noses against glass windows along the wall. POTUS waved to them and headed up the stairs alongside Mr. Macri.
