Subject: travel print pool report 6: POTUS remarks

POTUS spoke for about 30 minutes and then surprised everyone when by closing out his remarks by leading the assembled mourners in "Amazing Grace."

Remarks were open press; stay tuned for transcript from the WH.

A powerful speech that clearly inspired the people in the room who heard it. POTUS praised SC's Republican leaders for calling for the removal of the Confederate flag flying on the state capitol grounds in Columbia, but said that there was much more to be done about race and healing in the wake of the Charleston murders.

Remarks have wrapped, pool is holding in TD Arena while funeral ends and close family of Pickney leave for the burial in Marion, SC.
