VPOTUS and wife Dr Jill Biden were greeted at the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem on Wednesday morning by PM Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara Netanyahu.

After a short private meeting, Biden and Netanyahu returned to a pair of podiums and made brief remarks to the press.

Biden called the Palestinian attacks against Israelis, which took place on Tuesday and Wednesday, "heinous."

Biden noted that one knife attack took the life of an American tourist, Taylor Force, 28, a West Point graduate and combat veteran who did tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Biden said his wife and his grandchildren were dining at a beach restaurant near the site of the knife attack.

Biden said, "The United States condemns these acts and condemns the failure to condemn these acts."

Earlier, Netanyahu had specifically charged that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas did not condemn the attacks. Netanyahu said that Abbas's political party, Fatah, had praised the assailants as "martyrs and heroes."

Biden is scheduled to meet Abbas later Wednesday.

Biden said that such attacks cannot become "the modus operandi" and that "It's just not tolerable in the 21st century."

Biden promised, "There is no need to doubt that the United States has Israel's back"

Biden said, "This is a commitment that goes deeper than security."

The vice president said United States is committed to guarantee that Israel with maintain a "qualitative military edge" in the region.

Biden said that if Iran violated terms of the nuclear pact, there would be repercussions.

"If they break the deal, we will act," said Biden in reference to Iran.

Regarding the coalition campaign in Iraq and Syria, Biden said "we will crush DAESH. We will crisis ISIS."

He said it will take time. "It's hard," Biden said.
