Subject: VP pool report #3

Vice President Biden, dressed in a navy suit with no tie and aviator sunglasses, toured the Bolivar Naval Base in Cartagena for around 45 minutes.

Almost 9 tons of cocaine valued at $270 million dollars were captured this year alone by the ships and submarines in this base, many of them donated by the US Government.

The Vice President visited a control and command station within the base, and he was led on a tour by the commander of the base, Jorge Enrique Herrera Mesa. The VP listened in silence and didn't make remarks that your pooler could hear.

Only when the commander showed him a hollowed out coconut that was used to hide cocaine, the VP held it and said "I don't like coconuts anymore".

We are rolling to the airport for departure to the US.
