Subject: VPOTUS local pool report #1
VPOTUS walked into a biotechnology lab at the Science Complex at Miami Dade College's North Campus at 2:32 p.m. with several people, including U.S. Reps. Frederica Wilson, D-Miami Gardens, and Carlos Curbelo, R-Miami. Nine students clad in white lab coats and blue gloves gathered around two tables with their professor, Alfredo Leon.
Student Lilliam Hernandez Guerrero asked VPOTUS if he wanted to lend a hand with their experiment.
"No, I'm going to watch," he said. "I can see the press headline: Biden screws up experiment."
One by one, VPOTUS asked the students their plans after graduation. Several mentioned graduate programs in the sciences. One said she hopes to transfer to the University of Florida to study microbiology and later go to medical school.
"Remember me, doc," VPOTUS said.
He stressed the importance of affordable higher education and community colleges.
"Twelve years of free education is not enough for the 21st century," he said. "But every community college has to be as good as this one."
