Subject: VPOTUS Pool Report 9 - Davos to Zurich

Vice President Biden, on a US Army Blackhawk, lifted off  from Davos heliport at 12:09pm bound for Zurich International Airport. Landing at 12:49pm in Zurich.

Your pool saw astonishing mountain sites during the short flight.

Five helicopters comprised the Vice President's helo-cade.

Your pool notes that the travel time between Davos and Zurich via  helicopter is roughly 40 minutes compared to the approximate three and a half hour travel time by motorcade up the mountain two days ago.  For security reasons, the Swiss government would not allow the VP his much loved train option.

Your pool notes that an "Islamic Republic of Iran" plane is parked on the tarmac about 150 yards from Air Force Two. Your pool does not believe it is a Boeing but is uncertain of make and model.

After landing, VP Biden took pictures with and met locally stationed soldiers, American and Swiss as well as Embasy staff and a set of photos with his personal team. It's 25 degrees outside in Zurich.

Some of those accompanying the Vice President on this final Biden AIr Force Two flight back to Washington are:
Vice President's National Security Advisor Colin Kahl, VP Communications Director Kate Bedingfield, the Vice President's Special Advisor for Europe Anna Makanju, speechwriter to the VP Vinay Reddy, official VP photographer David Lienemann, State Department Asst Chief of Protocol Nick Schmit, Deputy Communications Director Meghan Goodman, State Department Asst Chief of Protocol Sam Tubman, Physician to the Vice President Dr. Kevin O'Connor - otherwise known as "Doc."

Wheels up in Zurich at 1:25pm.
