Subject: White House in-town pool #1

On a sunny and beautiful, if chilly morning, the president left the White House residence at 9:30am, wearing a light blue button-up shirt with no tie, a navy blazer and khaki slacks.  He waved to the pool but didn’t respond to your pooler’s shouted question about the new Indiana religious freedom law.  The president got into Marine One, followed a minute later by:

Deputy Press Secretary Jennifer Friedman

Colin Kahl, deputy assistant to the president and national security advisor to the vice president

Joe Paulsen, special assistant to the president and deputy director of the Office of Political Strategy and Outreach

Pete Souza, White House photographer

Marvin Nicholson, special assistant to the president, trip director and personal aide to the president

The helicopter was wheels-up to Joint Base Andrews at 9:34am.

Handing over now to the travel pool.  Have a good weekend!
