Subject: Airport arrival; pool #8

The motorcade arrived at the airport, having passed through West
Tisbury, where several dozen people stood by the side of the road
cheerfully waving. Presidents have been visiting the Vineyard since
Ulysses S Grant came here, but it is far from certain that another
such visit will occur anytime soon.
The motorcade passed West Tisbury Congregational Church, where earlier
in the day the congregation -- celebrating the final service of the
Rev. Cathlin Baker before her looming sabbatical -- cheered Mr. Obama
as well. Draped over the church entry door is a rainbow flag, which
hints at its liberal leanings. The parish is over 300 years old, and
Ms. Baker is its first female minister.
