Subject: Foreign pool report 2 POTUS in New York
Potus spoke in the fundraiser for about 10 minutes, no news and no mention to Saturday explosion in New York.
He reflected about "the good race" he ran in 2008 and "we are much better now" than then, he said and mentioned the good numbers in the jobs market, the recent report of the Census about the increase in household incomes.
He mentioned too the engagement with Cuba, the nuclear deal con Iran and having put Osama Bin Laden "out of the battlefield".
All these achievements has been consequence of "hard work" and "policies based in facts", Potus said.
Hillary Clinton is the only candidate who can "carry on" this legacy, Potus said, because she is "smart and tough".
Potus said that he "meant it" when he talked about her as the best qualified person to run for the Oval Office in the history of the country.
In contrast, Potus said that Donald Trump is "not qualified" to be president and he has "no curiosity", no interest in learning "not even the rudimentary knowledge" to be prepared.
November 8th "should not be a close election, but it will be", Potus said, referring to a "polarized society" as one of the reasons.
"Despite of that, I have confidence in the American people", Potus noted.
"I'm confident Hillary will be a great president".
Finally, Potus reflected about why US haven't had yet a woman president. Full quote here, thanks to co-pooler Christi Parsons.
"There's a reason why we haven't had a woman president. We as a society still grapple with what it means to see powerful women. And it still troubles us in a lot of ways, unfairly, and that expresses itself in all sorts of ways".
In the room your pooler can see Huma Abedin, Clinton's friend and assistant, and Valerie Jarrett, between others. Michael Douglas was mentioned, but your pooler couldn't see him.
We are back in the road.
