Subject: In-town print pool #2 - Marine One departure

The president has wrapped up his round of golf at Joint Base Andrews. Per CBS's Mark Knoller, this marked Obama's 299th round since becoming president, still several hundred short of Eisenhower and Wilson.

The motorcade drove him over to Marine One, which was waiting for him on the tarmac. Wearing a white striped Under Armour polo and khaki pants and carrying a binder in his left hand, the president boarded at 3:32 p.m. with a salute to the uniformed Marine standing at the steps.

Marine One lifted off 3:38 at p.m. for an overnight trip to Camp David. Despite a brief weather delay, the sun was shining through clouds as the helicopters took off.

Joining the president on Marine One are Greg Orme, Darryl Harrington, Marty Nesbitt, Sam Kass and Wahid Hamid. At Camp David, the group will be pre-celebrating Obama's 55th birthday, which will be on August 4.

This will be Obama's 39th visit to Camp David since taking office and his first trip since his birthday weekend a year ago, per Knoller.

Some of Obama's two-term predecessors were more frequent visitors to the presidential retreat: George W. Bush visited 149 times, Bill Clinton 54 times, and Ronald Reagan 186 times.
