After a 23-minute drive to Chapel Hill, the motorcade arrived at the venue at 3:05 p.m.

President Obama will give remarks at an outdoor Clinton rally, outside UNC's Eddie Smith Field House, where Secret Service agents were perched on the roof. There is a "Stronger Together" banner flanked by U.S. flags and crowd bleacher behind the lectern, which carries the seal of the President of the United States. The site is across Carmichael Arena and the Morehead-Patterson Bell Tower are visible in the distance.

No official crowd count, but I'd estimate it to be several thousand, owing mostly to a packed-in standing-room-only overflow area on the artificial turf to the right of the main press riser.

The remarks, which were scheduled to begin at 3:15 p.m., are open press.
