President Obama began speaking at Florida International University at 11:17 a.m. and ended at 12:03 p.m., for a clock time of about 46 minutes. About 40 minutes in, he noted that "I've gone on too long." Some of you may have noted that the White House has built extra time into the schedule for that reason.

He worked a rope line for four more minutes, then made what appeared to be a final wave. Then he made two or three more final waves.

Crowd count for the FIU Arena: 4,500. Source: Ruben Almaguer, Assistant Vice President of Disaster Management and Emergency Operations, Florida International University.

Pool is now filing before leaving for Miami airport.
