Subject: Travel pool report #2, 10/24/16 -- Done with golf and La Jolla fundraiser

The motorcade rolled from the Torrey Pines Hilton at 11:11 a.m., with no sighting of POTUS on this cloudy, grey day. After an uneventful roughly 5-minute ride, we arrived in a residential neighborhood of lightly colored stucco homes with Spanish-tiled roofs, many with elaborate iron gates out front.

A small crowd of protestors held signs that said, "Keep it in the ground!" and "Water not oil." They were chanting something indiscernible to your pool. Further on,
We passed a mansion with a large banner on the closed front gate with a picture of the Virgin Mary, which said, "Praying the rosary for America. Please help us." There was a Trump-Pence sign out front.

We rolled to a stop at 11:18 a.m., and are holding near said mansion, where a woman attempted to leave and was told by a police officer she had to stay inside. The event is at the home of Hanna and Mark Gleiberman, a large home with a glass-and-stone facade, manicured gardens, and modern fountains and sculptures out front. Around back, where the approximately 350 guests are assembled, there is a patio with sweeping views of the ocean. They contributed $250 to $2,700 to attend. Hosts contributed $33,400.

More details on the fundraiser, per a Clinton campaign aide:

*   President Barack Obama is attending a Hillary Victory Fund (HVF) event today in CA.
 *   The HVF is a joint fundraising committee between HFA, the DNC and state parties across the country that was established to ensure the DNC and state parties across the country have the resources they need to help the Democrats up and down the ballot win in November.
 *   Funds raised through the HVF are now being used to fund and staff organizing programs in states across the country that register voters, recruit volunteers and organize Democrats to turn out and support candidates up and down the ballot. The coordinated campaigns are being run by the DNC and state parties and coordinate with local, state and federal Democratic campaigns to work to elect progressives across the country.
