Before POTUS arrived at the CEO town hall, he was introduced by VPOTUS, who said he's "committed to being the best friend business has ever had in the White House."
Pence also vowed administration to "repeal and replace Obamacare" and tax reform - all this year.
Called the town hall part of an "ongoing conversation"... "to make American great again."
POTUS walked on stage at 10:48 a.m. to a standing ovation from CEO's and staff.
He took a seat and greeted Ivanka and "all the killers from New York" in the audience of CEO's.
"We're getting tremendous credit," he said about improving stock market, economy, except from mainstream media, which he said gives him no credit.
Forcasted a "very interesting talk" later this week with China's Prez. Xi.
Complained about over-regulation in construction, etc.
An aide held up a long graphic illustration of the complicated permitting process to build "a simple highway."
Sheet of colored boxes stretched from floor to above his head.
"It can take anywhere from 10 years to 20 years, and they they vote, and you lose. They don't want it."
"Getting a building approved in New York is a horrible thing."
"We're talking a major infrastructure bill of a trillion dollars, maybe more."
Faulted Obama for spending too much money on "social programs," not infrastructure.
"We're going to cut a lot of red tape."
"We're going to spend a lot of money on shovels, not other programs."
Contractors need to be ready to start in 90 days.
Talked 9 minutes before taking the first question, from Jerry Speyer, of Tishman Speyer, asking for advice on tax reform in Congress and the business climate in New York.
"I am watching over everybody, Jerry, you're in good hands," POTUS said.
Said he'd be particularly good for New York, which "should" have voted for him.
He talked about educational challenges, and "bureaucrats who make a lot of money." Called for an end to Common Core, and make education more "local."
Praised Betsy DeVoss.
"There's nothing more important than education," he said.
"We're going to have a great four years."
(Questioners weren't always introduced, so poolster didn't catch all names).
"We are absolutely destroying these horrible regulations that have been placed over your heads," POTUS said. Singled out Dodd-Frank. Promised a "major haircut"
"The regulators are running the banks," he said.
Vowed to get rid of "90-95 percent" of regs, but still have "the same kinds of protections."
"We have a country with tremendous potential, but we have to use that potential."
After loosing "70,000 factories," he claimed more companies in US are now choosing to stay in the U.S. and illegal immigration dropping too.
