Subject: In town print pool No. 2 (WH departure and North Korea comments)

As a rain fell, POTUS departed for Joint Base Andrews and then Bismarck, N.D., where he’ll participate in a tax reform event.

POTUS left the Oval Office at 12:19 p.m., walking with VP Pence and others following. Marine One lifted off the South Lawn at 12:27 p.m. POTUS was joined by Ivanka Trump, Steven Mnuchin and Chief of Staff  John Kelly.

Before boarding, POTUS stopped to talk with the press and answered questions about North Korea. Asked if he was considering military action, POTUS said: “We’re going to see what happens. We’ll see what happens. (“Frankly”?—hard to hear—“that’s not a first choice, but we will see what happens. Thank you very much.”

Pool will follow up with more from this as it was difficult to hear.
