List of attendees provided by the White House. The three in bold spoke after the President and Christie. Solomon is also a recovering addict, even though he’s not listed that way here. Garozzo’s son overdosed on opioids.

Pool was brought into the Cabinet room at 11:30 am for the president’s listening session on opioid abuse.

The meeting was attended by several people who have been affected by the disease of addiction, three of whom told their stories.

Attendees included New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who is leading the president’s commission on combatting opioid addicton, Florida AG Pam Bondi, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, AG Jeff Sessions, VA Secretary David Shulkin, Kellyanne Conway, Jared Kushner, Stephen Miller, Omraosa Manigault, and other administration officials.

The president spoke, then Chris Christie, then two addicts who have turned their lives around, a mom who lost her son.

POTUS interjected as his guests spoke, asking them questions.

He also asked Sessions to say a few words, and asked some questions of the acting head of DEA about where the drugs are coming from.

Pool was led out at 12:05 pm.
