Subject: Pool report 3 - Mexico Bilateral

At around 2:40 pm, the pool was brought into the room where President Trump and Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto were seated in large white chairs next to each other.

A bit of news that occurred at the end as the pool was being escorted out:

AP's Darlene Superville asked Trump: "Mr. Trump do you still want Mexico to pay for the wall?"

Trump responded: "Absolutely."

Before that, both presidents delivered statements.

Trump lauded the "successful day" he has had so far. "We’re negotiating NAFTA and some other things with Mexico and we’ll see how it all turns out but I think we've mad very good progress," Trump said.

Pena Nieto, who spoke through a translator, said that the meeting will help the two countries continue a "flowing dialog" especially "for the security of both nations especially for our borders."

He noted that "migration" is an issue that has "occupied" both administrations.

And he added that "it is the co responsibility to deal with organized crime issues."

Trump and Pena Nieto were joined by their aides who were seated in a semi- circle flanking both leaders.

Directly next to Trump was Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. Other aides were seated in this order: Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster, adviser Jared  Kushner, and NEC Director Gary Cohn.

And with that, your pool was escorted out about.
