Subject: Travel Pool Report #2 - King of Bahrain

At 9:05 am, FLOTUS walked by the assembled press corps, wearing a tan outfit and smiling as the cameras clicked.

A few moments later, your pool was led into a room inside one of the hotel suites. POTUS was seated in a red and gold armchair, with Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain to his right.

POTUS told the king that it was "a great honor to be with you" and that there "has been a little strain but there won't be strain with this administration." POTUS added that the two countries have "many of the same things in common."

The king said the two nations had 120 years of relations "based on a very good foundation of mutual understanding and strategy that we all have worked with, led to a great stability in the region."

Seated around the room was Jared Kushner, Rex Tillerson, HR McMaster, Gary Cohn, Dina Powell in addition to members of the Bahrain delegation.

The pool was ushered out after that.

Please check all names. Your pooler will seek to put them in, but we have not yet gotten a full list from the White House.

We are standing by for the next one.
