VPOTUS POOL REPORT 1.
VICE PRESIDENT’S RESIDENCE.
BREAKFAST WITH TAOISEACH ENDA KENNY
Taoiseach Enda Kenny and his wife Fionnuala pulled up to the vice president’s residence at 8:30 a.m. Vice President Mike Pence, wearing a green and white striped tie and a spray of shamrocks on his left lapel, and his wife Karen, dressed in green, stepped onto the portico, as Irish music played from inside the house, to greet their guests and exchange pleasantries.
The Taoiseach also wore a spray of shamrocks on his suit lapel, and the women wore shamrocks as well.
“You all look well rested” the vice president said (they had had dinner together last night) as they discussed the weather and made other small talk in the freezing cold. “A beautiful sunny morning you’ve organized for us too,” Mrs. Kenny said. She said something about it being good weather for shamrocks.
It was difficult for your pooler to hear the conversation, but the vice president could be heard to say “very humbling,’’ as the Taoiseach thanked him for having them.
We will soon be brought in for the pool spray during the breakfast.
